Applications or
apps, are used for many types of needs, so why not one for managing Gestational
diabetes, a form of diabetes that develops during pregnancy? Researchers at
Seoul National University in Korea developed such an app and evaluated its use.
The Android app is equipped with recommendations for mothers who have been
diagnosed with Gestational diabetes. Recommendations were based on clinical
practice guidelines. Some recommendations are for general care, and others are
peculiar to the pregnant women according to individual lifestyles.
Type 2 Diabetes - Can Smartphones Help in Controlling Diabetes? |
In February 2016
the journal, Health Care Information Research reported the
results of an evaluation of the app through an online survey. The pregnant
women were able to use the app 69.5 percent of the time...
·
users accepted
the app and expressed the desire to use it in 5.5 cases out of 7.0.
·
a total of 4.3
patients out of 7.0 perceived the app to be useful 4.6 times out of 7.
Overall the
women graded the app 5.0 out of 7.0 for usefulness.
From the above
results, it was concluded the application could be useful in controlling
Gestational diabetes. The results are less than stellar, but they are a good
start. Perhaps more tweaking can make the program more user-friendly.
Several apps
already in service are designed less elaborately but
provide useful information or communication for people diagnosed with Type 2
diabetes...

Gestational diabetes is a type of diabetes that affects women during pregnancy. Diabetes is a condition where there is too much glucose in the blood. I actually read an article about diabetes curing diet and it seemed like the person had great success so I gave it a try. I couldn’t have been more excited about the results, as I am now 50 pounds lighter than when I first started using it. The article was very helpful to me -- if you want to check it out yourself you can read it here http://curediabetespro.gq/
